7.4 Income Statement Projections
o Create a projected income statement for your business for the first four quarters and the second and third years of operations.
o Create a bar chart showing gross revenues, gross profit, and net income.
7.5 Break-even Analysis
o Calculate your break even to determine the number of units/break-even volume.
7.6 Ratio Analysis
Calculate all key ratios, using your projected financial statements. Compare these ratios to industry numbers, using publicly available data. (Cite and reference your sources.)
7.7 Risks & Assumptions
o List all risks and assumptions that underlie your financial projections.
o Identify external factors that may create/be substantial risks.

8.1 Amount & Types of Funds Requested
o Clearly state how much money you are requesting in your business plan and the terms under which you anticipate obtaining the funds.
o Will you use debt to finance the business? Explain.
o If you are asking for equity, how have you determined the value of the company and for what amount? (How did you calculate the valuation?)
8.2 Exit Strategy
o How will investors get paid back/out? (Public offering? Employee buyout? Merger or acquisition? Liquidation? Stock buyback?)
o Do you plan to franchise your business, or license any of your products? Explain your reasons and how
