Objective: The objective of this assignment is to provide you with an opportunity to practice thematic analysis using a provided transcript. Thematic analysis is a qualitative data analysis method that involves identifying patterns, themes, and meanings within the data. This assignment will allow you to apply the steps of thematic analysis and develop your skills in analyzing qualitative data.

Instructions:

This transcript was completed by three interview questions (why did you choose to be a renter? and what do you like most/least about being a renter?), please choose ONE interview question you want to analyze.

Please read the uploaded transcript carefully, gaining a thorough understanding of the content, context, and participants’ perspectives focusing on the interview question you choose.

Based on your interview question, take notes and highlight important sections or quotes that stand out to you.
