bank and requesting funding for a new business. The business plan will include a market and operational plan that combines
the topics we have discussed over the past few weeks including.

• Cash flow analysis.
• Mortgage payment calculations.
• Business projections
• Budgeting
The financial plan will include researching and identifying the target market. Completing a SWOT analysis and other items that
are described below.
Three businesses meet and decide that combining the individual businesses into one and adding additional features would
make them stronger and the new business will have a greater chance to grow and prosper. (You must develop a new business
name and logo) They are asking you and your consulting team to develop a business financial plan to be presented to a local
lending institution.
The three businesses are in a sports-minded town like Fort Collins of 100,000 people. The Internet and a large regional sports
store 100 miles away are the only main competition. Their competitive advantage is their customer service and the ability to
custom fit the items they sell. Individually they have a good market share and hope to expand.
The business financial plan tells a story that is designed to convince the lending institution to lend them funds needed to
combine and grow their business. In the plan you must demonstrate to the lending institution the need for the business,
how the loan funds will be repaid and the security for the loan.
