Part A
Design a 2-hour English literacy block for a Year 1 Primary classroom which links theory and practice for effective teaching. Include curriculum, step by step elements for each of the lessons, assessment and differentiation. Teacher resources must include a picture book for shared reading and a non-fiction text as the basis for teaching writing.
Use the proforma provided as the structure of the time.

Justify why your Literacy Block would be effective for all children including those children with diverse needs (500 words)

The quiz is out of 100 points which will be converted to a mark out of 20 reflecting 20% of the overall unit mark.
The quiz will be open from Friday 8th November at 9am WST to Friday 15th November at 23:59 WST. You will have 90 minutes from the time you open the link to complete the on-line test. You may access and use all of your notes during the test.
You only get one attempt to complete the test.
The 30 questions and will be based on the theories, skills, processes and strategies of the effective junior primary teacher of English language, literature and literacies which cover the four unit learning outcomes. Your understanding and synthesis of the key ideas developed over the semester will be examined.
