Task 4 (Discussion based on the post below) (300 words)
Description
A project management methodology is a set of methods, techniques, procedures, rules, principles, and practices for guiding you in organizing or managing a project (Spundak, 2014). Project management methodology is basically a tool or framework for helping a manager to manage his/her project in the most efficient way.
There are many different methodologies in use and so, choosing one will depend on, for example, the size of your business, the team size, type of business and goals of the business and so forth. ‘Monday’ is one such methodology and is frequently used for the management of projects and processes, tasks, resources and portfolios (Monday, 2024; Alexander, 2021). It also manages business operations and track goals and strategies.
The effectiveness of Monday
My company has been using ‘Monday’ for at least four years to handle all our project management needs and has found it to be an excellent investment. We chose Monday because of its flexibility, for instance, because our team of engineers are always “on the go,” we found the ability to use the iPhones feature (Manko, 2022), to easily track and manage projects, respond to emails, reply to and update customer information, to be very convenient. Plus, it is cost effective. Our company has 15 employees, and so, it costs $17/month per employee for the standard customer relationship management (CRM) package. It has many features and can satisfy the needs of different businesses. For example, it can be used by law firms, software services, manufacturing, medical practices, schools, large organisations, small businesses etc.
During the height of the corona virus, when most businesses were shut-down and laying off workers, we not only remained open throughout the period, but did not fire or layoff any staff. Part of the reason was the growth in business we enjoyed through Monday.
To wrap up, we find that Monday’s ability to help us track: customers, sales, customer service, marketing, answer email service calls through our iPhones, plus grow the business yearly is well worth the investment.
