Provide the passages from each to begin your comparison. Explain their meaning in the context as best you can. After providing a bit of explanation for each item, provide a reflection on why you think there are such strong similarities between the Hebrew and other accounts of life in the Near East. Likewise, what do the differences between ANE literature and the OT communicate theologically? How do the authors of the Bible want the reader to envision Yahweh differently than other gods of the ANE?
