Clinical and business solutions for hospital improvement include implementing quality improvement programs to improve patient care outcomes in the hospital. Additionally, having staff training for all healthcare professional staff would be beneficial. This includes medical advancements, technology, and implementing best practices in the field (Weiner et al., 2005). Although extra staff training and development would cost money and resources, it would reduce costs in the long run when all staff members are adequately trained and up-to-date with the newest information and technology. Overall, patient experience is crucial to maintaining a vulnerable and healthy environment. Focusing on improvements in the patient experiences would provide the facility with higher patient satisfaction rates and increased loyalty to the facility by the patient. Building trust and rapport within the community of patients would allow for improvements in patient communication and better patient outcomes. Hospitals can also improve their cost reduction by implementing strategies to reduce waste and negotiating with vendors to enhance the effectiveness of supplies that are being used. Having trained on new supplies for the nurses would also be beneficial to providing patient outcomes as well as supply reductions. For example, suppose there are new IV insertions that are being used by the nurses on the floors. This allows for better communication, and nurses must feel confident in their skills to provide the best patient outcomes.
