Essay: Cross-Cultural Worker Assignment Instructions
Overview
This essay requires you to synthesize information from our readings and video lectures in order to articulate a biblical basis for global engagement and to analyze general aspects of culture and society as it relates to global engagement.
Instructions
Remember to engage and interact with our course material and the scriptures as you answer the following questions:
- Based on what you have learned thus far, identify and explain the characteristics of a cross-cultural worker.
- Discuss the role of the cross-cultural worker in empowering local believers and supporting local churches or church planting movements. Focus your answer on Western missionaries working in contexts outside of the United States.
- Be sure to meet the requirements laid out in the rubric.
- Do not include the question in your essay, the assignment should read as a formal academic paper, thus academic language, proper grammar, spelling, and paragraphing is expected.
- Your response the above questions should total at least 450 words, but no more than 750. Note that the questions themselves and footnotes do not count towards your word count.
- Follow current Turabian style formatting for your citations and footnotes.
- You name and course information should be on the upper right corner of your paper (not in the header). Do not include a title page.
- The assignment should be completed in Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double spaced.
- Remember to support your thoughts/statements with course material and the scriptures.
- Include a minimum of 2 citations. Use our readings and the Bible as your sources.
- Do not use a dictionary or do a web search for definitions of worldview. You must come up with your own definition based on what you learned from the course material.
- Do not plagiarize! You should submit your entry as a reflection of what you have learned, not a word for word copy of your readings or any other source.
