Problem-Based Action Research Model Essay
Write a 2250-essay addressing each of the following points/questions. Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each bullet point. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper. Support your ideas with at least three (3) sources in your essay. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page do not count toward the minimum word amount. Review the rubric criteria for this assignment.
Locate two academic articles from a professional, peer-reviewed journal that uses the problem-based action research model. Be sure to completely answer all questions in each bullet point. There should be two sections, one for each numerical bullet below.
1. Summarize both professional, peer-reviewed articles by addressing the following for each study. Repeat this sequence for each article.
1. What question/hypothesis was the researcher trying to answer or investigate?
2. Define the variables studied.
3. Describe the sample.
4. How did the researcher gather data for the study? Were the data-gathering techniques appropriate for the purposes of the study? In other words, did the data collection procedures produce data that allowed for the accurate examination of the original questions/hypothesis for the study?
5. What were the results? How do the results affect your understanding of the world?
6. What did you learn about your content area discipline from this study?
2. Compare and contrast both studies and explain the similarities and differences.
