Greeting Card Assignment: Please choose 3

different greeting cards that are available at your

local store or online. (Please note you do not have

to purchase these cards). You will need to choose 3

cards for the same event (e.g. birthday cards) to

compare.For this assignment you will be discussing whether or not

you think that greeting cards send us cultural

messages beyond the event they were written for.

Please analyze your cards, taking note of colors,

images, words, etc. Then answer the following

questions: Do you think there are messages about

gender, age, social class, etc. present in your cards

beyond the event for which they were intended? Do

these messages differ based on the expected
